Where have you been?

Okay, sorry. I have not been around lately. Life got in the way, and mentally, there was too much going on, to be honest. Writing a blog is totally not on my list of things to accomplish. Trying to keep two nine-year-old twin boys alive is not easy. Also, my mental health took me to a bad place. It wasn’t fun. How do you keep your sanity during all this madness in the world?

It’s almost March, people! Are you ready to grow your best garden this season? I know you have organic seeds, soil, and seed-starting equipment ready. Wait. What? You don’t? Dude! Neither do I. LOL. It’s all good. As much as I love growing food, time is always against me. Does it stress you out when you see all the gardening gurus pushing, “Start these seeds NOW. If not, a garden monster will come after you! Grrr!” Okay, there is no garden monster, but you get my point.

Please, I am begging you, don’t stress over starting seeds. If you can’t get to it, no worries. Buy seedlings; that is why God (or whatever spiritual proclamation you follow) created nurseries. I was the type of gardener who thought purchasing seedlings was cheating. Nope, no more of that craziness. Seedlings are my friends, and they should be yours, too! I know you see them sitting in their happy little pots calling you. If they could make signs, they would say, “Buy me; I know you want to.” or “Work smarter, human. Duh!” I think if they hands, they would smack folks upside the head. But that’s just me.

This season, remember your past gardening experiences. Write down what kicked ass and what didn’t. Be kind to yourself because you will kill something; it happens. No big deal. Do you need coaching? Well, give your girl a call! Book a coaching session or a few. I am here to support and guide you. And no, I am not going to get all technical on you. I will, however, listen, do some research, and ensure that you successfully grow beautiful organic produce and native flowers. That’s my life’s work.

Now, look at your five-year-old seeds (I have some, too). Treat yourself to new plant varieties—plan which seedlings you will buy. Call me for coaching. I want to help you thrive!

All the best,

Jenn P.
